I grew up in a area in the center of the city named Møllenberg. My first 7 years I lived there together with my parents and one of my sisters, in a two room apartment without a bathroom. We never washed ........ NOT. My first school was Bispehaugen skole, on which I went to for one year. One of my big memories from these early years, is the world acclaimed violin-player Arve Tellefsen, who lived just a few meters from where I lived. In the summertime, I stood outside his open window , and listened to him rehearsing. I guess this was my first interest in music. Every schoolvacation, I went to a small island; Storfosna, to my grandparents farm, where my father grew up. There I was sitting almost every night, and listened to Luxembourg radio, which played a lot of good music.
